Virtual Weightloss – You Are What You Think?

Virtual Weightloss – You Are What You Think?

Virtual Weightloss – You Are What You Think?

When you think about weightloss the first thing that comes to mind is probably “Which diet will be best
for me and my situation”? That was always the first question I had. And it can get confusing from there
because of all the choices…Keto, South Beach, Protein, Alkaline Diet and so many more. Whether your
desire to lose weight stems from wanting to create a personal makeover, or because you are following
doctors orders for improved health or are looking to increase energy and self-esteem there are a few
keys to insure your REAL success by attending to your “virtual” success first.

You may be thinking….”I don’t want “virtual” success – I want REAL success”. The foundational key is to
realize that accomplishments of any kind begin virtually in the mind first. Any invention EVER created by
a human being began first as a thought in the mind of the inventor. No exceptions! The clothes you
wear, the electronic device you are reading this article on, even airplanes were first a virtual thought in
the mind of the inventor. This includes your goal to lose weight. Even the meal you eat begins with a
thought “I’m hungry” which motivates you to get off your couch and open the fridge. You scan all the
options until something makes your mouth water. You even taste your food virtually before you eat it!
Thoughts have creative energy behind them.

Before deciding what to feed your body to help you shed pounds or create health you must FIRST know
what thoughts to feed your mind.

Here are three ways to use thoughts to propel you toward success.

  1. Create a thought that excites you. Anticipation of something good is what gets you off the
couch. It is the same for making a change to your physical body such as getting in shape or losing
a few pounds. Use your imagination to “see” in your mind’s eye a virtual picture of an outcome
that excites you. Here is a good way to get into the flow of imagination. Just say “If I could snap
my fingers and have whatever I wanted – how would I like it to be?”. It encourages your
creativity which is where all success begins.
  2. Write it down. The act of writing your goals down sends a strong message to your brain that you
mean business. Otherwise it is just a passing wish.
  3. Know what your Inner Critic is saying. If you are like me or most people I work with, as soon as I
think about setting a goal, especially for losing weight or creating health I am faced with internal
doubt and pushback. I call it the Inner Critic. You might hear an internal voice say “If it were
possible you would have done it by now” or “You have failed before so why bother?” It’s
important to know how your Inner Critic is weighing in about your goal to lose weight because it
is housed in the subconscious mind which is contains the default beliefs that fuel all decisions
nonstop 90% of the time. It keeps track of all the painful losses of the past to protect you from
being hurt again and this can work against your best efforts. For example, in an article I
previously wrote I mentioned a woman who kept getting injured just enough to keep her from
working out consistently. This went on for years until she discovered she had grown up with
sisters that were threatened by her beauty. She learned to become a shrinking violet to protect
herself from being hurt. When she discovered that her injuries were initiated by an old belief
perpetuated by her Inner Critic she was able to see playing small to protect herself was no
longer relevant. After working together to she was able to replace her limiting and outdated
belief with a supportive healthier one she was able to move forward with confidence and no
longer became injured. Even though belief systems are “virtual” they can keep us from physically
moving forward toward our dreams and goals. Know if your beliefs are supporting your forward motion.

Healing painful losses from the past helps to heal the Inner Critic and create an Inner Cheerleader. Once
you discover your Inner Cheerleader previously insurmountable obstacles seem doable.

I’ll share step one of a three step process that I teach my clients to help them find their own limiting
beliefs. Ask and answer this question; “The reason I am not already experiencing the amazing health and
weight I want right now is because….” I suggest repeating that questions ten times and search deeply for
different answers. Write them down. Don’t give it too much thought just write what comes to mind with
no judgment. You know you are done when you begin repeating yourself. The list of answers that you
come up with reveal your limiting beliefs.

If you are experiencing frustration in an area of life such as losing weight and nothing is working to your
satisfaction chances are you have experienced a loss, disappointment or hurt on some level. Take a
moment to do your virtual homework so you can experience REAL success.

How To Let Go Of Limiting Beliefs

How To Let Go Of Limiting Beliefs

How To Let Go Of Limiting Beliefs

It’s all around us; chatter about fleeting youth and the new limitations that accompany a different
stage in life. We’re either told we’re now too old for something or it’s too late to start something
new, or we’ve spent our entire life believing things that limited our courage and inspiration to
step out.

For women who may have spent the better part of our lives as nurturers of our families and quite
possibly out of the paid-work force for quite some time, we wonder where our place now is and
how we fit in.

Sure, we find that outfit adorable, but it's for younger girls. Yes, you think you’d be perfect for
that job opportunity, but your resume may have some gaps that hold you back from applying for
the position. These thoughts are ones we impose on ourselves, and it’s time we learn how to let
go of limiting beliefs and continue to grow into who we were meant to be.

Are Limiting Beliefs Part Of A Mid-life Crisis?

It’s inevitable when we hit this age; we’re called middle aged and that in itself carries
connotations. We also find that things may not be as easy as they once were, and we’re not as
eager to step out into something new because we feel more judged. This can bring about feelings
of depression, failure and lack of purpose.

This doesn’t have to be a crisis, though. You have the power to change these beliefs and you
want to because our thoughts lead to our actions. If we continue to let our beliefs limit our
behaviors, we’ll find ourselves missing out on the many amazing things this life still offers (and
we offer to this life). We have the power to free ourselves to continue to explore who we are and
what we want to do.

Letting Go Of Limiting Beliefs: Recognize Them For What They Are

To change our limiting beliefs, we have to see them for what they really are. Society’s notion of
how a woman’s hair should look based on her age, or what her role in life is based on the age of
her children doesn’t have to dictate what you are capable of, and you shouldn’t let it. Who told
you that you’re too old to find a new love? Why do you think you’re too old to start a new career?
What makes you think you’re not motivated enough to get into the shape you’ve wanted to?

The answer to those questions and more is, “YOU.” While those notions may surround us in our
communities and our day-to-day life encounters, the truth is that YOU are in control of your
thoughts and actions. As you continue to tell yourself those things, you slowly watch them turn
into reality. The good news is that YOU can change, though, and let those limiting beliefs go.

Empower Yourself And Grow!

There are many ways that you can let limiting beliefs go and replace them with healthy,
empowering thoughts once you’ve recognized them as limiting. Surround yourself with people who believe in you, and what you want to do. Drown out the noise with growth-mindset ideas and podcasts, friends and family members. Create a list of goals you’d like to achieve and then create a list of true limiters—lack of funds, lack of physical ability perhaps, but never a societal norm that you don’t have to believe.

Fill your life with positive people, opportunities and beliefs. When you feel discouraged,
question what it is that makes you feel the way you do and analyze if what you’re experiencing is
based on truth or a limiting belief you’ve accepted. Throw it out if it’s another’s opinion; the only
opinion that matters are your own.

Mostly, realize it’s about the journey, certainly not the destination. When you let go of limiting
beliefs, you allow yourself to live in each moment and enjoy them to the fullest. So, let them go
and don’t let anything hold you back!

I was becoming an empty nester, a woman of a more interesting age and in transition. Sound familiar? I was at that place where we question our purpose, value, and worth and what in the world are we going to do with the rest of our lives.

I noticed women have a huge hunger to belong to a community of women where they can feel safe, share openly from their heart and have other women to do life with! This is why I created my Fave Lifestyles.

What Are Emotions?

What Are Emotions?

What Are Emotions?

Emotions are Experiences in Motion
Emotions are simply our life experiences in motion as emotions move through our body and psyche. When
emotions get stuck in our brain and in the cells of our body, we experience pain. When we have the tools to
remove these emotional blocks, we feel lighter, more at peace and can better handle life’s challenges.

A Wake-up Call: ‘I Hate My Life’
Years ago now, I was getting ready for work and the following thought came to mind, “I hate my life”. I was
shocked to have such a negative thought come to my mind. I had a great job at our church, great husband,
wonderful children, a beautiful home and a very meaningful life. So how could I say that I hate my life? Well as
God would have it, I had just joined a school of spiritual formation and direction. In reading one of the assigned
books, I learned that we can sometimes be two different people. – one person on the outside and quite another
person on the inside. Our job is to integrate what we feel on the inside to who we are on the outside. If we don’t,
our lives can crash. Happily, I figured out what was going on and I now longer hate my life!

In the last several years, I have listened to and studied over 70 books. I am continually open to what brings health
and well-being to my own life and others. I am passionate about helping others live on their Higher Path,
especially you. I trust the following insights will be of benefit to you.

Emotions are Emotions – No Judgement Here!
One important mind-shift is you do not have to see emotions as negative or positive. You don’t have to judge or
ignore your emotions or the emotions of others. You can observe emotions and learn from them so that all
emotions serve you!

Difficult or limiting emotions can teach you that you value the opposite. Easy or expansive emotions can teach
you how good life can be. Observe whether your emotions are limiting or empowering! When you learn what you
are to learn, you can let the experience flow through you. Your experiences and related emotions do not get stuck!
When you accept your emotions and ask for Wisdom to understand where the emotions came from and what you
are to learn, your life will be transformed and you will be empowered.

Then and Now
One of my favorite mental exercises is to play: ‘I used to think…and now I think…’ I used to be afraid of God and
now I know God as Love. I used to be afraid of people and now people inform, energize and enlighten me. I used
to be afraid of the future and now I co-create my life with God and others. I used to have an overwhelming sense
of responsibility and now I know I am responsible for myself and God responsible for everything else!

Play, ‘I used to think…and now I think…’ and see how you are changing and growing intellectually, emotionally and
spiritually!

Simply Love is My Guide
In my hypnotherapy training, I was required to listen to a guided meditation to find my spirit guide. (Oh goodness,
I didn’t even know if I believed in spirit guides!) As I focused on the meditation, the words, ‘Simply Love’ came to
me. I thought, “Yes, I believe in Love”! Then the word LOVE became imprinted on my body from my head to my
toes. My body became ‘Love’. And since my mind believes the Story I tell it, I can feel ‘I am Love’. (Not that I love
myself, others, the planet or God perfectly but becoming LOVE certainly is an empowering experience!)

If you need help finding Love within yourself, go to LOVE! How to be a LOVEr!

Have You Experienced Your Higher Self?
I was in a network group and we were led through the following experience with a partner. One partner
repeatedly asked just one question of the other for a set period of time. The question was “What do you want?” In
that exercise I met My Higher Self – that which is the highest good for myself and others! I now know the part of
me who is Eternal and Infinite. I desire the same for you!

5 EASY STEPS TO AMPLIFY YOUR MESSAGE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Learn 5 simple things you can do to boost your social media presence in your marketing strategy.

Why Video Marketing Can No Longer Be Ignored

Why Video Marketing Can No Longer Be Ignored

Why Video Marketing Can No Longer Be Ignored

Video marketing has been on the rise for a couple of years. For quite a while it was
simply an option when it came to delivering content, but now using video has become a
standard part of any marketing plan. There are a variety of reasons why video has
become important and today we want to discuss the reasons that you should embrace
video in your businesses content marketing strategy.

Consumers Prefer Video

A recent study found that four times as many consumers actually prefer to watch a
video about a product or service rather than reading about it in a blog post. Seeing a
video makes them feel like they understand the product or service better and feel more
confident in their decision to move forward. If you are a personal brand video can also
accelerate the know/like/trust feelings because they are seeing your personality in a
video.

Creates Authenticity

Video has the ability to create authenticity that text simply cannot. When you or
someone from your business is speaking their passion and personality can come
through in a way that written word just cannot accomplish. It humanizes your business
and makes it feel relatable and authentic which is what consumers are looking for in all
aspects of life.

Captures Attention

When scrolling through a social media feed still images get a glance before they are
gone. Video stops the scroll in its tracks. People will stop and watch in a way that they
will not for other types of content. This creates a unique opportunity for getting content
in front of previously lost consumers. Good video makes people take notice! This is the
time to use this medium before social media is overly saturated.

Engagement

If you are a person who is comfortable with live stream video, this is an engagement
gold mine. People are spending three times longer watching live video on social media
versus those that have been prerecorded. Your social media followers like to see live
video and they will reward you with engagement. Live video can feel awkward at first,
but practice makes perfect.

With the right techniques, video marketing can be a gold mine for your business. It is
highly effective in increasing brand awareness, generating leads, increasing sales, and
connecting with your audience. With more consumers consuming video content, it’s vital
to begin implementing a video marketing strategy to get in front of your audience.

Four Things Your Website Landing Page MUST Include

Four Things Your Website Landing Page MUST Include

Four Things Your Website Landing Page MUST Include

Whatever page on your website that visitors land on is called your landing page. It is the
first place that you have a chance to impress potential customers and possibly be asked
for more information about your company. Your landing page has one job, turn visitors
into consumers. This might mean they consume your content, fill out a newsletter form,
or request more information about your product or services. Whatever they do, it starts
on your landing page. According to a recent study the average landing page has a
2.35% conversion rate. So, how do you create the best landing page to increase
conversions? You need for key components.

So how do you set your landing page up for success in this saturated advertising
world?

A Headline and A Offer

Your landing page should clearly communicate what you provide and an offer to learn
more. Since landing pages are often not the home page of your website, you want the
user to understand what you do and how they can benefit from your offer in the first 5
seconds. A compelling headline and tagline should communicate this immediately.

A Call to Action/Lead Capture Form

After they understand what it is you do and are offering you want to give them a call to
action and a lead capture form. If you want them to join your newsletter or have a
consultation make it very easy to take that next step. Your CTA should be followed by a
lead capture form that gathers pertinent contact information and delivers it to your sales
team, email marketing service, or whomever in your organization will be their next point
of contact.

Trust Builders

When potential customers are scrolling through your landing page you want to be
displaying that your company can be trusted. You can do this through showing the logos
of other companies you have worked/partnered with, charitable organizations you
support, reviews and forms of social proof. Social proof can be a variety of things, here
is a list of other options not mentioned above:

  • Customer case studies
  • Reviews on third-party sites such as Yelp or Google
  • Seals of approval from well-respected organizations
  • Number of followers on social media platforms
  • Sharing buttons with share counts and like counts
  • Download and purchase counts
  • Listing the number of customers
  • Testimonials from industry experts

A Clear Path

You should never assume that a website visitor will be able to find the path to become a
customer. When planning your landing page think about how a website visitor is viewing
it. You want to create a path that is obvious and leads them to the action you want them
to take. This could be signing up for your newsletter, request a consultation or simply
visiting another page on your site. Whatever the goal is, make it easy for the website
visitor to accomplish.

When you optimize your landing page with these four elements it leads people from
visitor to consumer. When you give compelling evidence of the benefits of your product
or service and then clearly offer a way to take the next step you increase your chances
that they take the next step.
