From My “Fave” Chair to Yours

My Fave Chair Yours has been traveling! This month I thought I would share my perspective on the “Fave” chair while going from place to place. We planned a trip to Quebec Canada this year with some good friends we had known since 1986 when we were neighbors in Bellingham. Friends who have moved almost as much as we have over the years & we have managed to stay in touch and visit each other when it works. Off to Quebec, we went starting in Montreal and then on to Quebec City and them to Tremblant. It was beautiful to share the time with friends, we had memories to share, and made many more memories in the ten days we were together.

To relate this to the “FAVE” chair, I will start with our first night out together in Quebec City atop the Ciel Bistro Bar where the view of Quebec City was amazing. Ciel Bistro-Bar “Known for its view, renowned for its cuisine!” My Fave Chair was by the window as the restaurant did the 360 Degree tour. How pleasant the conversation, the view, and the start of our vacation. A favorite of our trip.

The next would be the Benches in The Plains of Abraham Park. Rich in history. Rows of Benches for us to sit and enjoy the view of the Gardens or the North Shore of the St Laurance river. Illustrious Park What a beautiful place to sit and relax. The weather was warm & sunny so we could, take in the view and imagine the history that had gone before us.

Finally, to Tremblant to enjoy a more relaxed schedule of activities surrounded by mountains, lakes, and beautiful golf courses. My “Fave” chair there was the large oversized Adirondack chair in the Tremblant Village. A chance for our group to play and be goofy. Jumping into that enormous chair for pictures was a bit of a challenge. We had plenty of laughs!

The perspective: From those many Chairs was that it is good to leave my comfy chair at home to explore places beyond the home front comforts, to invite others into the experiences, and to look back into history. History seems to hold lots of messages to inspire us! Friends inspire us! Nature inspires us! Explore, you will be glad you did! Then when you come home to that “fave” place where you live, the conversations, memories, and soul will be enriched.
