Coaching has been around for some time, but it is in the last five years that there has been an explosion of the profession to the main stream culture. Today we want to talk about what a life coach is and when you might need one in your life.

 What is a Life Coach?

According to the National Coach Academy: “Life coaches work with their clients to help them achieve goals, overcome obstacles and make changes or shifts in their lives. Coaches do not counsel or analyze the past. Life coaching is based on the principle that the client has the intrinsic ability to determine and achieve their goals.”

Life coaching is not right for everyone, but there are some situations in life when a life coach can not only help but can create momentum and excitement that creates big change in the client’s life.

Feeling Lost

Are you at a point in your life that you feel like you need direction or guidance? You feel a bit lost and unsure of your next move? A life coach can give you outside perspective and feedback and get you on the right path.

Dealing with Self-Doubt

Do you find yourself doubting your decisions or afraid you will make the wrong choice? We are faced with so many paths and options in our lives it can feel like every decision is monumental. When you are doubting your ability to make those decisions a life coach can help you gain clarity over your life and help alleviate your self-doubt around making life decisions.

You Have Big Goals but No Plan

Many people reach a point in their lives where they have a big goal, they want to achieve but they have no idea where to start. A life coach can guide you through the steps of creating a plan of action to reach your goal. Often the hardest step in reaching a goal is getting off the starting block and a coach gives you that push to get the ball rolling.

You Lack Follow Through

Many people are amazing at setting goals but they either procrastinate or simply lose steam and do not follow through. A life coach can provide accountability for those who need someone checking their progress. A coach can also help break the procrastination habits that are often deeply ingrained so we can reach our current and future goals more easily.

If any of the above sounds like you a life coach might be a great investment. If you are invested in the coaching process you can overcome your obstacles and reach your goals quickly and better your life in a meaningful way.

Karen Rae

I was becoming an empty nester, a woman of a more interesting age and in transition. Sound familiar? I was at that place where we question our purpose, value, and worth and what in the world are we going to do with the rest of our lives.

I noticed women have a huge hunger to belong to a community of women where they can feel safe, share openly from their heart and have other women to do life with! This is why I created my Fave Lifestyles.

Fave is for the woman who wants to call Fave her community of women who support, uplift, and make her feel better about herself. I want to create a place where we help her answer life's questions and just do life together!
